NORMAL NORTH EAST MONSOON ( NEM 2019) AHEAD FOR ENTIRE TAMIL NADU INCLUDING NORTH TAMIL NADU

After a lull November in most parts of TN , rains to pick up pace from tonight over entire coastal Tamil Nadu as strong easterly winds filled with moisture to hit us for a week with possible low or trough over southwest bay.... do not miss this exciting period of NEM as this is going to be most active phase ...

i have already mentioned in my previous post MJO to enter our basin in few days which is a boon for us... this two weeks we should watch out for a extraordinary rainfall over DELTA,RAMANADAPURAM , TUTICORIN,AND AREAS NEAR WESTERN GHATS (mostly above 350mm) .... few coastal region will see EXTREME rainfall accumulation between NOVEMBER 29 - DECEMBER 6 .... nothing to panic... so i am sure that SOUTH TN, WESTERN TN( KONGU BELT) , CENTRAL TN will end up this NEM season with NORMAL OR ABOVE NORMAL

EXCITING DAYS AHEAD FOR NORTH TAMIL NADU INCLUDING CHENNAI
=====================================
starting from tonight till December 3 heavy to very heavy rains ahead for KTC including CHENNAI .. I am sure that CHENNAI WILL GET ABOVE 250 mm BEFORE DECEMBER 5 . I will be happy with this quantum... Places below mahabalipuram are perfectly placed to get above 300 mm...

Days to watch out for Chennai is from december 1 to december 3.. Full day rains possible in these days...

many are worried about ECMWF precipitation charts showing less amount for NTN but reality going to be different...i will put up some images it will explain the situation i think
and many are worried about dry air filling NTN after dec 3... its too early to see that if it comes also only 3-4 days will be there and after that again moist easterlies will return back

 Topic by : HariHaran (Rainman) Will This Year Ends With Bountiful North-East Monsoon? North East Monsoon has set over most of the parts of southern India with easterlies hitting the East Coast! This year is one of the most hyped when it comes to NEM rains. To understand the current weather conditions we have to looks for the favorable weather dynamics which we look for the upcoming NEM season. As per the the models by looking for MJO it will takes it’s path to Phase 6-7 for a while as MTC having a huge support of planetary waves alignment. But conditions looks favorable for he weakening of MJO progression over MTC - WPAC zones and it is expected to move AO for a while and begin it’s initial new set of MJO phase at Phase soon. By looking at the models, the chart provided seems to have some initial errors as well that we have to notice as well.
